Helsinki based dj Halo got interested in electronic music in the late 80`s, the first love was acid house.The first dj gig took place in 1993 and since that Halo has played in most of the major clubs, radioshows and hundreds of events in Finland, including 2 years at Finlands largest rock festival Provinssi Rock, Koneisto festival for electronic music and Kiasma-the museum of contemporary art in Helsinki.He has also worked heavily as a promoter, responsible for numerous parties and the Surreal Audio club in Helsinki.Outside Finland the cities Halo has played in include Stockholm in Sweden, St.Petersburg in Russia, Milan in Italy, Amsterdam and Groeningen in the Netherlands, Athens in Greece and Bristol in the Uk.1999 was the year Halo started his own label Surreal Audio Recordings, that was accompanied by the sublabel Cool Front in 2001.He is also working as a journalist writing reviews of electronic music releases for the largest cityculturemagazine in Finland, Aktivist.With studies in radiowork and acting Halo is a performing artist that makes a good connection with the audience and knows how to follow their demands. As a dj Halo plays funky psychedelic dancemusic combining various musical styles like trance, house, breaks and whatever can be melted in the mix with a good vibe.He feels that a dj should not be stricktly limited in one genre but has to be able to experiment with different ones to accomplish a rich experience for the listener.
