| Extreme Rhythm is Europe's newest and most exciting high-impact percussion ensemble, consisting of 12 drummers, with various musical and theatrical backgrounds, led by Nick Bailey, who has toured extensively throughout the world with several National and International Acts, including Riverdance - the Show, and whose solo performances have been featured on World television and Radio. The group have just returned from a series of successful gigs in Jamaica, and are currently preparing for two tours, of Japan and India, respectively, in the second half of 2002.
Their unique brand of high-impact entertainment, which has been used for such major events as the Irish Jordan Formula 1 car launch in 2001 is well choreographed, and many of their routines are topless / body painted, as the performers are all in great physical shape.
An Extreme Rhythm performance is a spectacular display of powerful, infectious drumming, brilliant choreography, colourful costumes and dramatic lighting effects, using rhythms and instruments from all over the world. Each member of Extreme Rhythm is also a solo artist in their own right, which is featured in many ways in this group of maniacal yet scrupulous percussionists demonstrating their art through sheer power, pure adrenaline, stunning choreography and mesmerising rhythms.
