{House Society, Soundbar, First String Project}
Keith Evan is currently residing in Las Vegas, where he is spreading the vibe of deep house music and contributing his insight to a local scene that lacks a culture of deep house music. His support of the house scene dates back to 1990 in the Los Angeles and in the San Diego areas. During the summer of 1994, Keith moved to Northern California to obtain a bachelor's degree in Sociology at Humboldt State University. There he established his first parties with E-Bound Productions and this was his gateway to spinning records. After two years of countless parties and the completion of a Bachelor's degree, Keith moved back to the Inland Empire at the end of the 96' summer. Immediately he began a Wednesday night venue in Pomona, Ca called 'Rules of the House' where he was the resident d.j. solely spinning deep house grooves.
In the summer of 1997, he left the U.S. to Margarita Isle, Venezuela where he played at venues such as "The Eye" and "Nickel", two afterhour clubs that are currently rockin' until the sun comes out. After two years of traveling abroad and collecting music in such countries as Venezuela, Germany, and Holland, Keith Evan has returned to the U.S. to continue his calling. Currently living in Las Vegas, Keith claims that "this city is as hungry as it gets for some deep soul filled house music"." God has truly blessed me for putiing me in this city at this time!" Keith has played at Las Vegas venues such as the House of Blues{Spanda Room} as well as the co-founder and resident d.j. of 'Soundbar'@ the House of Blues. He has made appearances at Baby's @ the Hard Rock, The Hop/Glo afterhours, 1030 afterhours, Dragon @ Mandalay Bay{China Grill}, The Velvet Lounge {Elegant underground series}{Jane' Addiction after party with Perry Farrell}, the Hookah Lounge, the V-Bar, Club Utopia, View @ the Voodoo Lounge, Seven, Venus afterhours, SRO afterhours, and the list goes on. The 'Soundbar' weekly is his real home and recently House Society moved the deep house theme to The Hop/Glo.
Keith Evan is a co-founder and resident d.j. of the House Society Crew along with partner Carlos Sanchez. Together they do a Thursday evening called 'Soundbar' @ Glo which has been alive since April 12, 2001. Keith is also a resident at Seven. Keith has played in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, Detroit, Chicago, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Miami{@ Bed/MWC} and the list continues to grow. Keith has three CD's out, "Internal", Simple Passage", and House Society Sessions Vol.1 {Live @ the Soundbar}. Keith is also working on an international project which will feature deep house d.j.'s from Las Vegas to Brazil, The First String Project.
Keith's main influences are Doc Martin, Mark Farina, and Garth{Wicked Crew, S.F.}. His favorite parties/memories were Flammable Liquid, Goodfellas, Monarch, Revival, early Narnia events, Melodic events, and anything on a Sunday morning residing outside in the sun.
