Lio M & David'drums are made up by two Swiss brothers: a professional snowboarder and an 'anarcho-chic' together on stage for a performance half way between mixing and live. Be their sets house or techno, the 'démarche'remains the same : underground music, an eclectic selection ; percursions (five pieces) integrated to the sound, a real means of communication with the public. Full of energy and precise, their show also entails a visual universe as their performances are followed by video projections.
Despite the fact that the two brothers have been into music since very early, it wasn´t until 1999 that they tried for the first time what would become Lio M'David'Drums. Aware of the potential of the concept, Lionel and David go for it with body and soul into the great adventure. After a summer working on the first steps of what would later become Lio M&David'Drums, they tested the formula towards the end of 1999 for the first time at the 'Caves du Manoir² which was followed by bookings throughout the most prestigious clubs in Switzerland.

" An eklektik selection of Underground musik vol.1 "
Lio M and David'drums are brothers in town and performing partners on
stage. In Sunbath around the Swiss Riviera, we can find the two
brothers on a house program with sunny sounds. The desire for
eclectism is to hear on every tone, this first volume of "An eklektik
selection of Underground musik" takes us on a trip across delicious
sounds of soulful and jazzy tek-house. Between Blaze and A:xus,
Guidance and Profan, the two brothers revisit the Northern
Souls_sanctuaries, bringing together house and gospel, playing with
enticing bass lines and rythmical complexities, growing stronger
through orchestred violons and funky guitars. A brillant mix dedicated
to an organic house sound, quite elegant.
'Royal Party' (deep house. 2001): Proud of the success of his soirées
'Royal' at the Plaza Hotel in Montreux, Bernard Clerc, the producer,
decides at the end of 2000 to offer his 'fidèles' a souvenir; Lio
M&David'drums will care about it. Rather than choosing a dancefloor
oriented selection, they go for a mental and emotional optic, with a
single objetive: put together underground productions and achieve an
accessible mixing. From Grace Brid to Underground Resistance, passing
by the Mosaik label, Mauricio's hypnotic dubbing, Romanthony's
minimalist funk or Blaze's deep house, 'Royal Party' is the mix that
Lio M&David_drums are able to deliver beneath the colours of sunset,
to an audience looking for real deepness.

Music Style: Most times they look for an effective and festive concept
of underground music, flowing from different sorts of house to
different kinds of techno music, always adapting to the site, audience
and producer's demands. Their style: deep house, house, chicago house,
minimal music, electro pop, detroit, techno...
SOUND SYSTEM RIDER: The percursions are not considered as an animation
but as an element that they wish to perfectly integrate to the music.
They are equipped with microphones, feet and cables. They require an
office chair (with no back), an area of 3mx3m. For optimal results,
they need to be one next to the other, on a mini-stage with lights and
a feedback for the percusionist.
AVAILABILITY: As David is a professional snowboarder, his availability
is indeed restricted during winter, but special arrangements can be
made. Furthermore, Lio M also performs on his own.
