Marcelo de Lazzari Legaspe Santos a.k.a. DJ MARCELO K2 was introduced to the turntables in '95, influenced by the House music played at the clubs in Sao Paulo. Marcelo started playing professionally in 1997, spinning a mixture of house & techno but it was a year later when introduced to tracks of Marco Bailey, Dave Clarke, Adam Bayer, Christian Smith and Cari Lekebusch that he finally found his favorite style: hard techno . The most important gig of his career came up a year later, when a respected local promoter invited him to play at the biggest electronic venue in Campinas city, the Christmas Eve Party. Marcelo drove 3000 people completelly nuts with his hard & percussive tunes. That was enough to make him become the resident DJ of this great event. Marcelo has been playing at Christmas Eve Party every year since that night and he is often invited to play at clubs all around Sao Paulo. Some of his unforgetable gigs includes performances at PACHA Brasil and La Movida Club in Maresias Beach.
