Situation
To those who are not familiar to us, 'Situation' led by Moti Schwartz, the group has appeared before international dignitaries such as U.S. President, various prime ministers and officials, 'Situation' representing Israel when Korea and Israel established diplomatic relations, where millions of viewers watched 'Situation' make history for being the first non-Koreans to perform in The open Concert Show, on K.B.S. TV, accompanied by the Korean Symphony Orchestra. They have also officially represented Israel in the Queen Sikirt Folk Festival, in Bangkok, Thailand.
We wish to inform you of our activities last year and this year:
'Situation' has performed at international events such as Midem 2001, Music Industry Convention, held in Cannes, and Skal 2001, International Tourism Convention that took place in Tiberias, Israel. The latest jazz festival in Eilat, Chasidic festival in Zfat.
Last but not least, Kaya, our lead singer, with the winning song "Sparida" in the world music category of the Unisong International Song Contest and was chosen by top industry judges out of over 4,000 entries from more than 40 countries (see attachment: first song of demo Kaya!).
CosmoGenesis is Kaya and Moti Schwartz's most recent captivating new album of original work and ethnic music inspired by the desire for world and regional peace. In fact our musical goal to use words/lyrics from the language of the soul to transcend all cultures and to express our profound longing to end all oppression and violent conflict via a highly skilled original blending of various ethnic musical styles.
The Duo 'Situation' is also capable of to provide repertoire consists of show-tunes, jazz, opera, '30's and '60's up to today's favorites. The due also performs ethnic styles as Greek, Gypsy, Latin, Arabic, Jewish music, and much, much more. When singing show tunes for example, the artists even dress the part with costumes, such as the cape and mask of 'Phantom of the Opera' etc.
We can bring very 'interesting' attraction: starting with intuitive voice & 'talking' drum, by Kayak & Moti, brings the audience to participate singing along and with Kaya and taught by Moti to play the dumbek (the belly dansers middle eastern drum) creates very warm and close feeling. It is an unique show you have not seen before!
Due to difficult economic situation in Israel at the moment, the 'Situation' group is willing to go abroad and opening up for new performances (e.g.: concerts & tours) as we were used to do in the past. We are flexible in offering convenient prices.
