Since 1977, Allan Jacobs and Barrett Felker have been entertaining around the world.
By the time they joined forces ten years later, they had already set down on six of the seven continents.

THE GIZMO GUYS

Allan was taught to juggle by his roommate while attending the University of
Massachusetts at Amherst where he graduated in 1977.

That same year he co-founded the group Slap Happy (with Brian O'Connor-a.k.a.
'Schemer' of Shining Time Station-and Tom Keegan). Slap Happy was twice awarded
Best Comedy of the Year by The Boston Globe. They also played at over 200 colleges
and universities, enjoyed a four month run at The Other End in New York City, and
made numerous appearances on local and national television.

THE GIZMO GUYS

While not touring with Slap Happy, Allan taught juggling at Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey's
Clown College. He also found the time to capture the International Jugglers Association's Team Championship in 1978, and Solo Championship in 1983.

Considered an expert by his peers, Allan collaborated as technical consultant on
The Complete Juggler, a book written by Dave Finnigan and published in 1987 by Vintage books.

THE GIZMO GUYS

Allan currently lives in New York City with his wife and two children. Barrett learned
the art of juggling at the age of 15, from his cousin. After completing his studies at
the University of Arizona, he moved to Boulder, Colorado where he collaborated with
Peter Davison and Kezia Tenenbaum and in 1980 won the International Jugglers
Association's Team Championship award.
Later that year he launched a solo career by taking an eight week contract with
The Harlem Globetrotters. Barrett's performance was such a success that his
contract was extended time and time again. Three years, five continents and
thirty countries later, he settled in Europe where he worked his solo act in
circuses and variety theaters for two more years and learned to speak Italian,
Spanish, French and Portuguese.

In 1985 Barrett teamed up with Jim Strinka to form The Dynamotion Jugglers,
a duo which appeared with New York City's Big Apple Circus, Germany's
Circus Krone, at The Casino Nairobi in Kenya and on television variety shows
in Europe and South America.

Barrett currently lives in New York City.
Since creating The Gizmo Guys in 1987, Allan and Barrett have proven that together
they can amuse as well as amaze. They combine original routines, quick witted verbal
repartee and world class juggling skills in a very light-hearted approach to the art.

They have appeared before well over a million people in more than 2000 live performances
as well as countless others on television. In addition to touring extensively in the U.S
. and Canada. The Gizmo Guys have strutted their stuff in places as diverse as Saudi Arabia and Japan.

Allan and Barrett have taught juggling at the renowned French and Canadian
National Circus Schools, and can work in both French and English.
Whether performing for large audiences or in a more intimate setting, The Gizmo Guys,
with their unique presentation of dazzling technique and infectious humor, make any event something special.
